Frozen Garlic Pods
Updated: May 15, 2021
Mince or finely chop several heads of garlic. Add enough neutral tasting, high heat oil to coat, 2-3 Tablespoons depending on how much garlic you have. I used silplats as a base for them and put my first layer, about 1/2 Tblsp. for each pod, in a large pyrex baking dish. Then I used condiment containers to create a platform for a second layer. Wrap tightly with a couple of layers of plastic wrap and freeze overnight. Place garlic pods into a large ziplock and place in freezer. When you need garlic, just reach in and grab desired amount. No mess!
